With crafty brews and clever foods for every mood, Bangalore’s Fox In The Field has it all. We derive our name from the British pub culture, where pubs often have the
word ‘fox’ in their names. 



Partnering with the English Craft Brew Company (ECB), Fox In The Field brings you ‘foxy’ craft beers fashioned after the greatest watering holes in Britain and Europe. 



Fox In The Field is proud to work in partnership with Derek Orford, who has cemented his position as a world-class, technical, and hands-on brewer, bringing his passion for beer to India after having worked for world-renowned brewing companies like Heineken, Whitbread, and Lion, and supporting multiple startup breweries along the way.

Abhay Kewadkar is India's first winemaker and former executive director of the wine division at United Spirits Ltd. He decided to act on his desire for diversification and get into the craft beer business. Fox In The Field was born out of a burning desire to tap into the F&B industry.

So there you have it – Fox In The Field, an exquisite micro brewery inspired by the greatest traditions of British pub culture, with our own Indian twist.

Since our inception on November 9th, 2019, we have gone on to make waves in Bangalore’s microbrewery scene, drawing attention from Times of India, The New Indian Express, and Economic Times.


The ‘English craft brew company’ (ECB), incorporated in the UK and India, has set up and manages four other well-known microbreweries in Bangalore.
they are also currently engaged in setting up microbreweries in Nagpur and other cities.



 Derek Orford began brewing at the age of 16 and qualified as a Master Brewer in 1991, winning the James Hough Award for outstanding performance.

  •   His brewing career has taken him all over the world, to breweries in America, Europe, and Australasia, since his early days making traditional cask-conditioned ales in the Kentish hop gardens in South East England.
  •  He has worked for world-renowned brewing companies including Whitbread, Heineken, and Lion. More recently, he has joined the craft beer revolution by brewing his own versions of famed beer styles, which he sells at farmers’ markets and country fairs in England. He has been involved in the planning and development of several start-up breweries, as well as commissioning and troubleshooting.
  •    In addition to being a qualified beer sommelier, he is both a technical and hands-on brewer.
  • Now he is bringing his beer and brewing passion to India.


 Chef Shankar has mastered the art of Vegetable carving, a skill that was introduced by Japan, China and Thailand almost 700 years ago. His mastery of Vegetable carving has resulted in an intriguing display of colors, textures and shapes. His dishes are rooted in traditional Indian cuisine yet have been given a modern twist. Chef Shankar believes food should be sensory journey, a visual and an edible treat.

Amit Agrawal is the co owner and wine maker at Oakwood Vineyards, makers of red white wines, located at Srirampur Maharashtra. Amit has a BSc ..(Alco Tech) and a MBA (and is a Oenologist from Bordeaux University).


Amitabh Henkel is the founder and Managing Director of Metlok Group of Companies, who cater to the bonding and sealing requirements of the Indian Automobile industry. A Mechanical Engineer, graduated from BHU in the year 1978, Amitabh worked at MICO, (now BOSCH) and Henkel.


Jasmohan is a Business Development Professional with experience in the renewable energy industry. He own strong technical and commercial knowledge of renewable and new energy technologies. Jasmohan holds a masters degree in Global Production Engine forNew Energy Technologies from Technische Universität Berlin.


He has won prestigious Namma Bengaluru Award 2012, BCIC Award, FM Zone India Leadership Award & Karnataka Seva Ratna Award 2014. He is former Head of Administration & Facilities of Britannia Industries and prior lead the operation and sales stint in IT and Hospitality sec tor like ITC Windsor Sheraton Hotel.


Rishad has a wide ranging knowledge and experience of wines, spirits and beers, foods &cuisines from around-the-world, developed in professional career and in extensive travels in Denmark, Italy, France, and Australia. He has had more than 12 years of Indian and International work experience as a Chef and Executive Chef leading projects for setup of varied F&B outlets, fine-dine restaurants and Flight Kitchens.


Srinivasan is a strong business development professional skilled in Business Planning, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Strategic Sourcin g, and MetalFabrication. Previously worked as Director and CEO of L & T, Kobelco machinery Pvt. Ltd and nominee Director of L&T in the JV with Kobe S teel Ltd.
